Dave Tilden 2026 Skeet Challenge

The 2026 Dave Tilden new year skeet challenge was held on February 15. Shooters gained entry into the final round by virtue of having shot 25 straight in either skeet or wobble skeet during the month of January and early February. The final round consisted of 12 shots: a simultaneous pair and a reverse simultaneous pair from stations 3, 4 and 5. Fred Davis, a prior winner, came out on top with a total of 10. Michael Clark had 9 for Second place. Rick DiDomenico and Dave Tilden tied for Third with 8 each. Congratulations to all!

Annual Turkey Shoot Winners

Grafton County Fish and Game Association held the annual turkey shoot on November 16, 2025. The winners in each category are:

  • Archery: Elise Letizia
  • Rifle: Chet Miller (2 years in a row)
  • Handgun: Bill Lapan

Everyone had a great time! We look forward to next year’s event!

GCFGA Winter Activites

Check our calendar for winter shooting activities. All of these activities are open to the public for a modest fee.

  • Archery
    • Indoor archery begins on November 20 at 5:15pm. Archers using compound or traditional bows are welcome. No cross bows for this activity.
  • Shotgun
    • Skeet shoots are now held on Sunday at 10am
    • 5-Stand will be held on Tuesdays at 10am starting November 11
    • Trap times will vary depending on weather. If you want to get day/time announcements, email trap@gcfga.org and ask to be added to the list.
    • Similarly, the ‘retired guys’ skeet shooters meet when the spirit moves them. Email retiredguys@gcfga.org to receive their announcements.
  • Rifle
    • Indoor Rifle practice begins on December 30th. The ‘light gun’ shooters use traditional 22s with open sights and shoot a slightly bigger target at 50′. Shooters in the ‘unlimited’ class use rifles with scopes, bull barrels, adjustable stocks, etc. All are 22 caliber.
    • Each Friday at 7:00pm, the indoor rifle team competes with shooters from Precision Valley Fish and Game in Perkinsville, VT. Location alternates between our Club House and facilities at the Precision Valley Club. (You do not have to be a member of the team to practice.)
  • Pistol
    • Indoor pistol is on hold at present pending a bit of reorganization. Practices will be posted on our calendar when they occur.

Our outdoor ranges (members only) remain open most of the time during the winter. However, they can be closed when frozen ground creates a safety hazard. Check the calendar for posted notices.

GCFGA Raffle Success

Thank you to all who participated in the GCFGA 2025 Raffle. Your support will help us continue to sponsor young people (ages 12 – 16) to attend hunter education programs at the New Hampshire Fish & Game  Department’s Barry Conservation Camp and/or to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department’s Green Mountain Conservation Camp each year.

Summer Archery League and Club 3D Course Are Open!

The GCFGA archery league will meet on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Check the calendar at https://gcfga.org/calendar/ for any changes. Members of the public are invited. New archers are welcome. Shooting the 3D course is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Shooting at the target butts is free. Join us for some fun and friendly conversation!

The Club 3D course is open to members and their guests during daylight hours. Check the post at the archery range for directions and the donation/fee box!

Northeast Triple Crown IBO
