Becoming an Outdoor Woman

At the May meeting it was discussed and approved to allocate the amount of $395 to be used to cover all expenses for one GCF&GA female member or female associate member to attend  the Fall Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program. This program known as BOW is just one of the many opportunities NH Fish and Game offers. The three day event is held in Moultonborough and is scheduled from September 11-13th 2026. For additional information please visit NH Fish and Game website and navigate to education and then BOW

The allocation of monies will be supplied by a gracious donation from former member Wayne Aldrich who left funds to the club to be used for Women and Youth programs. This is a great opportunity for any female who is  interested in learning new outdoor skills. Registration opens June 16th and the program fills up quickly.

Anyone interested would need to contact President Bill LaPan by June 6th to be considered for this opportunity. president@gcfga.org

2026 Ladies Only Range Day

Our annual Ladies Only Range Day for 2026 was a huge success. We had 42 attendees, lots of smiles and laughs. Lots of new shooters. Thank you everyone who helped with planning, set up, coaching, set up and serving lunch, donations, clean up and support. This marked our 14th year and approximately 850 women through the program. The comments received that day and through e mails and posted on the web site all have been very positive. This is a very important program to Grafton County Fish and Game Association.

Dave Tilden 2026 Skeet Challenge

The 2026 Dave Tilden new year skeet challenge was held on February 15. Shooters gained entry into the final round by virtue of having shot 25 straight in either skeet or wobble skeet during the month of January and early February. The final round consisted of 12 shots: a simultaneous pair and a reverse simultaneous pair from stations 3, 4 and 5. Fred Davis, a prior winner, came out on top with a total of 10. Michael Clark had 9 for Second place. Rick DiDomenico and Dave Tilden tied for Third with 8 each. Congratulations to all!
